 \, Oral and Maxillofacial PathologySynopsis:  Oral cancer is most treatabl
 e when it is caught early\, and the dental team is often the first to see 
 it. This course reviews how oral cancer and precancerous lesions present c
 linically\, from subtle red and white mucosal changes to the signs of adva
 nced disease\, and walks through practical approaches to examination\, adj
 unctive screening tools\, and biopsy. Using clinical cases\, participants 
 will learn to distinguish common benign and reactive lesions from those th
 at warrant concern\, and to decide with confidence when to monitor\, when 
 to biopsy\, and when to refer. The session closes with an overview of curr
 ent management\, from surveillance of precancerous lesions through surgica
 l and adjuvant treatment of oral cancer.
