Given there is no mandatory continuing e ducation requirement for oral and maxillofacial pathology in dentistry\, i t is imperative to self-select such courses. This lecture aims to provide the dental practitioner\, regardless of specialty or number of years in pr actice\, with an overview of the essential features of the common mucosal lesions. The presentation focuses on lesions which are from the main cate gories of inflammatory\, infectious\, immune mediated\, neoplastic\, and o ral manifestations of systemic disease. Upon completion of this refresher course\, the dental professional will be familiar with the features and m anagement of the most common oral lesions to maintain an expected level of competency. Speaker Information: Dr. Arthi Kumar Dr. Arthi Kumar is a boa rd-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist who completed her training at New York Presbyterian Queens.
