Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

NYSDA Provides Clarity and Resources Regarding N95 Mask and Other Pertinent Information

OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard (and other health standards that require respiratory protection) for all workers,


Our previous memoranda, Temporary Enforcement Guidance - Healthcare Respiratory Protection Annual Fit-Testing for N95 Filtering Facepieces During the COVID-19 Outbreak, issued on March 14, 2020, and Enforcement Guidance for Respiratory Protection and the N95 Shortage Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic, issued on April 3, 2020, provided temporary guidance for 29 CFR § 1910.134, regarding required annual fit testing of HCP and use of respirators beyond their manufacturer’s recommended shelf life, respectively.[1] This memorandum provides additional guidance on enforcing OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard (and other health standards that require respiratory protection) for all workers, including HCP.  In light of the essential need for adequate supplies of respirators, this memorandum will take effect immediately and remain in effect until further notice. This guidance is intended to be time-limited to the current public health crisis. Please frequently check OSHA’s webpage at for updates.

The ADA released a guide on coding and billing for protective personal equipment. This guide includes information includes responses to frequently asked questions, especially as they relate to charges for PPE when participating with third-party payment programs.
