HPI Data Show Some Dental Practices on Path to Recovery as States Reopen

40 states had reopened for elective dental services the week of May 18. With three weeks of “reopening” data now collected from dentists across the country, HPI is beginning to see a promising recovery path for the dental economy.

Want to learn more about our COVID-19 economic impact poll data? Below, we’re sharing our latest on-demand webinar and full poll results.

Latest COVID-19 Economic Impact Poll Results

HPI’s poll data, collected the week of May 18, shows a dental industry that’s beginning to bounce back from the impacts of the COVID-19-related shutdowns in March and April. In fact, HPI polling found that 65% of dental practices are now open, compared to just 3% the week of April 6.

The poll also collected data on topics including patient volumes, payment of staff, size of PPE stockpiles and why some practices have yet to reopen.
