Out of an abundance of caution, to safeguard the health of our members, the Ninth District has cancelled all on-site CE Courses this Spring. If you were registered for any Spring course that has been cancelled, your account has been credited for any fees paid, which may be used toward any Fall CE Course. The ADA announced, earlier in this global health pandemic, that they would eliminate the 18 credit maximum for online courses to ensure doctors are able to meet their relicensure requirements. Left in question, however, was how to make that work with CPR courses, as they require a hands-on portion to fulfill the terms of certification.
In a joint effort between the Ninth District and the New York State Dental Foundation, we found a solution that gives you some options! Cut & paste the link below to the BLS/CPR portion of the American Red Cross website. You will have the option of a fully, in-person course or a “split” course, which enables you to do the bulk of work online, with a follow-up, in person, skills assessment. There are numerous locations for either of these options - you will enter your Zip Code to find the most convenient for you. Be aware that, in accordance with all social distancing protocols, class sizes have been reduced, you will be required to bring and wear a face mask and you will be subject to a temperature check prior to entry.
If you have any questions, please contact headquarters at your convenience.
