Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

The ADA is proud to announce the launch of the ADA Patient Return Resource Center.

A suite of patient communication tools intended to support dental practices in communicating with patients

The ADA is proud to announce the launch of the ADA Patient Return Resource Center. This is a suite of patient communication tools intended to support dental practices in communicating with patients about what to expect when returning for non-emergent care. If desired, these materials also allow for customization throughout so dentists can tailor specific points to their practice and patients.

This content is for ADA members only and based on the American Dental Association’s (ADA’s) Return to Work Interim Guidance Toolkit. Included in the resource center are the following assets:

  • What to Expect visual guide of what will happen before, during and after a patient’s visit. Practices can add their name, phone number and email to this editable PDF.
  • FAQ to reassure patients during phone calls, in email exchanges or on social media
  • 7 Facebook posts, complete with ready-to-go images or simple photo suggestions to personalize
  • 4 downloadable in office signs
  • 2 email templates with customizable fields to communicate a practice’s specific protocols
  • 2 text reminders

 The toolkit will be distributed to members across the tripartite in the following ways:

  • State and Locals: Power of Three call, What’s Up Wednesday, posting on Basecamp and a rotator on branded web templates
  • ADA digital channels: Prominent placement on ADA.org’s homepage, ADA.org/virus, ADA News
  • ADA social media: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram
  • ADA email: Morning Huddle coverage, targeted email to members who downloaded the Return to Work toolkit and a targeted email to nonmembers who downloaded the toolkit to show the value being a member provides
  • ADA Publications: ADA News
  • Search campaigns targeting members
  • Additional “Member Value” tactics throughout July, including display ads, social media and email communication

The ADA is also working with Dentsply Sirona, which will act as a distribution channel to help promote this content. Dentsply’s sales force of 1,000 representatives will promote this resource to members and inform non-members about the value of the ADA during office visits.

 This new member resource was created through the efforts of the Advisory Task Force, Corporate Relations, the Practice Institute and Integrated Marketing and Communications. We thank them for their work on this.
