Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association
The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.
In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.
The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

Several Factors May Help Dental Offices Remain Open If Additional Shutdowns Occur
An article in Dentistry IQ (7/27, Salierno) said that although it’s unclear whether dental practices will need “to close again if there is another wave of mandated shutdowns,” states may allow dental practices to remain open for several reasons, including that “there have not been any documented cases of coronavirus traced to a dental practice.” The article added that dental practices have “measures in place to keep patients and teams safe.” In addition, the article noted that “on July 13, California Gov. Gavin Newsom instituted a second shutdown and dental practices have been able to remain open.”
