The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

ADA council releases claims accuracy guide

The ADA Council on Dental Benefit Programs recently released a guide outlining best practices to ensure the accuracy of claims submitted on behalf of dentists, according to ADA News. The resource was developed after the ADA House of Delegates passed Resolution 93H amid a growing trend of claims being submitted on behalf of employee dentists without their consent, according to Mark M. Johnston, D.D.S., chair of the council's Dental Benefit Information Subcommittee. Dr. Johnston said office staff or the billing partner must be sure to allow the treating dentist to review all claims before submission.
