The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.
In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.
The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

Financial aid options can help keep dental school costs manageable
The ADA offers resources on student debt repayment programs
Being a dentist is a good investment and understanding student loan and other financial aid options can help ensure the cost does not become overwhelming, ADA News reported. "To a certain extent, I had an understanding of what to expect, but it can be hard to plan when the cost of tuition is so volatile," said Jeffrey Kerst, D.D.S., a 2019 graduate of the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid form helps determine eligibility for financial aid, which can include federal student loans and private loans, federal scholarship opportunities and programs associated with military service. The ADA offers resources on student debt repayment programs and advocates for student loan reform to relieve financial burdens for students.
