The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.
In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.
The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

Administration to end COVID-19 emergency declarations May 11
States to decide whether to continue the temporary nationwide authority dentists were granted to administer the COVID-19 vaccines

The Biden administration, through the Office of Management and Budget, has indicated it will end the public health emergency and national emergency declarations for the COVID-19 pandemic on May 11. The timing of the announcement gave health care providers and other stakeholders more than 101 days to prepare for the termination. Once the emergency declaration is lifted, it will be up to the states to decide whether to continue the temporary nationwide authority dentists were granted to administer the COVID-19 vaccines.
