The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

Consumer choice in ACA markets continues to grow

Now 88 plans on average to choose from for the 2023 plan year

Consumers shopping for health insurance through Affordable Care Act marketplaces had five health insurance providers and 88 plans on average to choose from for the 2023 plan year, up from three carriers and 27 plans in 2018, according to a report from McKinsey. The percentage of consumers with access to at least three insurers rose from 49% in 2018 to 87% for this year, while the number of counties with a single insurer fell from 52% to 4%.
