Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

ADA supports Dental Care for Our Troops Act

The ADA wrote a May 15 letter to Rep. Andy Kim, D-N.J., thanking him for introducing the Dental Care for Our Troops Act, and noting the Association is urging the House and Senate Armed Services committee to include it in the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. The bill would offer dental coverage under Tricare without premiums for reserve component service members, about 130,000 of whom do not have health insurance. "Providing access to TRICARE dental coverage at no cost to these service members and their families who currently have inconsistent dental coverage would not only help ensure the oral health of our service members, it would also assist national security by making sure the service members are able to deploy," the letter said.
