The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.
In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.
The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

To create inclusive environments that promote trust and belonging, employers must understand the complexities surrounding their employees’ decisions to disclose their disability. The new guide “411 on Disability Disclosure: Employer Edition” from the USDOL Employer Assistance and Resource Network on Disability Inclusion (EARN) offers employers insight into that decision-making process, the critical role employers play in fostering supportive cultures, and the ways in which employer-employee relationships can facilitate disclosure.
The USDOL Job Accommodation Network’s (JAN) training Webcast “Accommodating Employees with Diverse Cognitive and Neurological Needs” is now available to stream. For people with cognitive or neurological disabilities, including ADHD, mental health conditions, and brain injury, the accommodation process can help them perform their jobs effectively. JAN’s Webcast covers topics such as medical documentation, confidentiality, job duties, and more.
