Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1200 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

NYSBA Issues Report on Problems with OMIG

The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) has issued a report on problems and reform initiatives concerning the New York State Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG).  This report was generated by a Task Force appointed by the NYSBA Health Law Section to look into OMIG operations.  The report is highly critical of OMIG and of the failure to adopt relevant reforms to fix problems with OMIG (Governors Cuomo and Hochul both have vetoed reforms passed by the Legislature).  You can read the NYSBA report on OMIG here: NYSBA Report on OMIG Problems and Reform Efforts.
