The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

GAO Issues Report on Health Insurance Premium Tax Credit Calculations

The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued a report on how the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) calculates and applies health insurance premium tax credits in relation to certain non-mandated state benefit costs.  GAO found that CMS exercised inadequate oversight of state health benefit costs and had no assurance that it was applying health insurance premium tax credits properly.  To read the GAO report on proper application of health insurance premium tax credits, use the first link below.  To read GAO highlights of the report on proper application of health insurance premium tax credits, use the second link below.
