Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1200 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

NYSDOH Holding Forum on Section 1332 Health Insurance Innovation Waiver

May 27, 2025

Per the notice below, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) is holding a public forum on its Section 1332 Innovation Waiver for affordable health insurance.

In March 2024, Governor Hochul announced the federal approval of New York's Section 1332 State Innovation Waiver to expand the Essential Plan, a public health insurance program offered through NY State of Health, the state’s official health plan Marketplace.  Section 1332 State Innovation Waivers allow states to pursue innovative strategies for providing residents access to high-quality, affordable health insurance.  The State will hold its annual forum on the 1332 Waiver on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 11 a.m.  Registration is required.  Written comments and questions may be submitted in advance to NYSOH.Team@health.ny.gov.  Translations of the public hearing transcript can be made available upon request.  For additional information regarding the Section 1332 Waiver, visit the NY State of Health “1332 Waiver Information Page” web page.
