NYSDOH Holding Forum on Section 1332 Health Insurance Innovation Waiver
Per the notice below, the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) is holding a public forum on its Section 1332 Innovation Waiver for affordable health insurance.
In March 2024, Governor Hochul announced the federal approval of New York's Section 1332 State Innovation Waiver to expand the Essential Plan, a public health insurance program offered through NY State of Health, the state’s official health plan Marketplace. Section 1332 State Innovation Waivers allow states to pursue innovative strategies for providing residents access to high-quality, affordable health insurance. The State will hold its annual forum on the 1332 Waiver on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 11 a.m. Registration is required. Written comments and questions may be submitted in advance to NYSOH.Team@health.ny.gov. Translations of the public hearing transcript can be made available upon request.
