The United States Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued a report on the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Department of Defense (DOD) sharing of clinical health care resources, including for dental care.  GAO found that there were 185 such clinical sharing agreements as of April 2025, but that the departments don't evaluate how well these agreements work, which could include assessing progress toward their goals, and also miss ways to identify other potential sharing opportunities.  To read the GAO report on VA and DOD clinical sharing, use the first link below.  To read GAO highlights of the report on VA and DOD clinical sharing, use the second link below.
