Sep 11, 2025

Per the notice below, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has issued a compendium of primary care Practice-Based Research Network publications.

Primary Care Practice-Based Research Networks and Publications, 2014–2023: Synthesis Report

AHRQ’s National Center for Excellence in Primary Care Research (NCEPCR) released a new report that catalogues the past 10 years of Practice-Based Research Network (PBRN) publications.  The Primary Care Practice-Based Research Networks and Publications, 2014–2023: Synthesis Report (PDF, 1.4 MB) showcases the breadth and depth of the work that PBRNs have generated over the past 10 years and demonstrates the value and impact of PBRN research.  This work contributes to NCEPCR’s vision of a future where all patients receive high-quality, whole-person, evidence-based, affordable primary healthcare from a healthy primary care workforce.  Accompanying this synthesis report is an Excel file database (XLSX, 1.5 MB) containing the full list of PBRN publications analyzed in the report.  This filterable, sortable resource can be used by researchers or PBRNs to identify work published by PBRNs by topic, PBRN, and other data points.
