The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

NYSDOH Issues Proposed Completely New Ionizing Radiation Regulations

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has introduced a regulatory proposal on ionizing radiation again – this time repealing all of the current Part 16 of Title 10 of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York (10 NYCRR) on ionizing radiation and replacing it with an entirely new Part 16.  The NYSDOH proposal is attached at pages 7-11 of the document here: State Register Ionizing Radiation Regulatory Proposal from NYSDOH.  Public comments on the proposal are due by December 7, 2025.
