ADA Releases Medicaid Financial Sustainability Toolkit

Oct 9, 2025

With input from many dentists who treated Medicaid beneficiaries, the ADA is releasing the Medicaid Financial Sustainability Toolkit. While there are challenges such as reimbursement and administrative burden, serving Medicaid beneficiaries can be professionally fulfilling. This toolkit provides strategies, templates, and real-world insights to help practices balance patient-centered care, quality, financial viability, and staff efficiency when treating Medicaid beneficiaries.

Visit www.ada.org/medicaidfinancialtoolkit.

Besides practice operations, ADA members have repeatedly noted that finding essential documents with state Medicaid programs, such as the state’s Medicaid fee schedule, is an additional administrative burden. Another highlight of this toolkit is that the ADA team was able to place all of the State’s Medicaid fee-for-service schedules on one centralized website, and will be updated on a semi-annual basis. These state Medicaid Fee-For-Service schedules can be found at www.ada.org/medicaidfeeschedules and is cited in the toolkit.
