The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

Chapter Amendment Signed Into Law on NYSDA Dental Hygiene Collaborative Practice Law

Feb 14, 2026

A chapter amendment to the NYSDA Dental Hygiene Collaborative Practice Law was signed into law by Governor Hochul as Chapter 23 of the Laws of 2026. The chapter amendment adds voluntary foster care agency health facilities licensed under Article 29-I of the New York State Public Health Law as sites where dental hygiene collaborative practice with a dentist can occur.
