The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

Dentist Loses NYSDOH Medicaid Hearing Decision

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) has issued a Medicaid Hearing Decision against Dr. Babak Behmanesh, upholding his Censure in the Medicaid program and ordering repayment of $62,160.03 plus interest. The decision is interesting in detailing why proper recordkeeping is critical in Medicaid and in showing what kinds of defenses should not be attempted in a Medicaid audit hearing proceeding.
