NYSDOH Seeks Comments on Updated Medicaid VBP Roadmap

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Office of Health Insurance Programs is pleased to release an updated NYS Medicaid Value-Based Payment (VBP) Roadmap for public comment. The 2026 NYS Medicaid VBP Roadmap introduces new requirements and guidelines to better enable VBP arrangements to be data-driven and focused on producing quality improvement in key areas. The 2026 NYS Medicaid VBP Roadmap and related documents can be found on the NYS Department of Health “Value Based Payment (VBP)” web page. Please provide your feedback to VBP@health.ny.gov by Thursday, April 30, 2026. Comments will be incorporated as appropriate into the 2026 VBP Roadmap and may also be considered for future iterations of the document.
