Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1500 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9^th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

There are two items of interest to dentistry on the New York State Board of Regents May 2026 meeting agenda: 1) the reappointment of Dr. Kerry McEntee [Ninth District] to the New York State Board for Dentistry for a second and final five year term; and 2) the reappointment of Dr. Ronald Maitland [New York County] to a five year term as an extended member of the New York State Board for Dentistry [extended members are former members of the State Board for Dentistry who are appointed only for service on licensure disciplinary and/or licensure restoration and moral character panels].
