Welcome to the Ninth District Dental Association

The Ninth District Dental Society was formed in 1909 and renamed to the Ninth District Dental Association in 2002. We have a membership of over 1200 dentists in 5 counties: Westchester, Rockland, Dutchess, Orange and Putnam.

In its quest to serve both the public and the profession, the Ninth District embodies the highest ideals.

The mission of the 9th District Dental Association is to serve and support its members and the public by improving the oral health of our community through Advocacy, Continuing Education and Camaraderie.

ONC Issues Final Rule on Health Data Technology

HTI-5 Final Rule is Here

Today, ONC and HHS released the Health Data, Technology, and Interoperability: ONC Deregulatory Actions to Unleash Prosperity (HTI-5) Final Rule.  It advances administration initiatives by significantly reducing administrative burdens for health IT developers participating in the ONC Health IT Certification Program and is projected to save more than $1.5 billion in regulatory costs.  Ultimately, it frees up resources for health IT developers, offering flexibility and support in pursuing innovations that enhance user experiences for patients and clinicians.  We have updated the status of the ONC enforcement discretion notices consistent with the HTI-5 final rule.  Upon the effective date of the HTI-5 final rule, most enforcement discretion notices will no longer be in effect and will be archived.  Comments submitted in response to the HTI-5 proposed rule’s information blocking proposals remain under consideration as part of HHS’ ongoing efforts to address and eliminate information blocking.
