Synopsis:  Success rates with implant dentistry have been increasing with improving techniques. More and more implants are being placed with the advent of local courses and mini residencies, etc.  As with any procedure, along with the increase in numbers, comes an increase in complications.  It is not only necessary to know how to place implants, but how to treat the complications associated with the procedure.

Complications can be surgical or restorative in  nature.  This lecture will focus on diagnosis, prevention and treatment of common implant complications through methodical, scientifically based step-by-step approach that every clinician can use in their office.

The participants will be able to discuss:

1.  How medical history and medications can affect implant treatment.
2.  How to develop a treatment plan to help minimize surgical and restorative complications.
3.  Will be able to treat common implant complications and how to manage intraoperative and postoperative surgical complications.
4.  Learn how to overcome common surgical and prosthetic challenges on the day of surgery.
5.  Discuss the challenges of full-arch and remote-anchorage complications.
