Research focusing on prediction of outcomes for malignant and premalignant diseases. Adjunct Clinical Professor at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry where he collaborates with other faculty to further our understanding of how students learn by using data analytics.
Synopsis: Artificial intelligence (AI) based on the transformer architecture, such as large language models (LLMs) and vision transformers, have exploded in popularity. This course will describe how these models work at a basic level, where these models are being used in the healthcare system, how they might be used in the future, and potential pitfalls of this technology.
