Author of numerous peer-reviewed articles on sedation techniques, airway management and pain management & lectures nationally focusing on evidence-based approaches to treating apprehensive patients, sedation safety, clinical techniques & practical solutions for improving patient care.

Synopsis:  A substantially updated program from when the crisis began in 2017. Over the past 10 years, lessons have been learned and new evidence obtained. NYS requires everyone with a DEA license to renew their training every three years.  This 3-hour program covers all the material needed toward the NYS Mandated Pain Management, Palliative Care and Addiction Education requirements and can be applied towards the federal 8-hour MATE Act requirements.  It is designed for all prescribers of controlled substances.  Through literature reviews, case studies and professional experience, you will understand your role in combating the current opioid epidemic.
