Synopsis: A follow-up to the didactic CE course Effective, Non-Surgical Treatment of Periodontal Disease for Dentists and Hygienists presented by Dr. Sternberg on October 30, 2025 for the 9th*. This course will be a clinical, hands-on course with patients. The participants will have an opportunity to improve their skills involving instrument sharpening, instrument selection and scaling techniques. What will make it particularly valuable is the perioscope, which will actually visualize the calculus on a computer screen, pre-scaling and post-scaling. This will demonstrate the effectiveness or ineffectiveness of the individual’s approach to scaling and root planing.
The course will be limited to ten clinicians. If need be, a second course will be available to accommodate more individuals. The limitation is due to the desire to give every participant the opportunity to participate with hands-on scaling and root planing under supervision. *A recording of the 10-30-25 course is available and should be viewed before attending this follow-up.
